Time to get booked for Lake Fork trophy bass fishing. Looks like I will probably fish March 1-15 but might add some more days if I get booked up. The 1st thru the 15th should be prime time for big bass, we did really good last year and the days will probably book up fast so get your days secured now. Rates will be $650.00 for 1-4 people per day. We will be launching at Popes Landing again this year.

Fished the river today for big cats. Caught a 43,42,28,a few small cats, and a few spoonbills.

I fished almost every day on December but I have open days now for airboat catfish trips. Here are a few more pics from the last month.

Fished the lake for striper today. We ended up catching a limit and released this big 15 lb striper. On the lake again tomorrow then back to the river Friday.

Just got home from Florida, had to go check out a boat. Fishing every day for the next two weeks but have some open days after that. Probably will not post any pics or reports till this first run is over. You need to get booked soon if you want to do this big catfish thing on the river this winter.

Slowest November ever for me but it looks like December will be busy with catfishing on the river. If you plan on fishing the river in December better call soon it is filling up fast.

Fished a group of 4 on the lake today. Fishing was not fast but it was steady and by 11 AM we had a pretty good limit of striper. The quality of fish has been steadily improving so fishing should be great from now till at least the end of the year.

Fished the lake today. Fishing was as good as it gets with lots of over 20" fish. Fishing is the best it has been all year.

Fished the river today. Caught a few small cats and this 42 LB blue. Needs to get cold again, the gar were killing us. Only fished till about 11:30.

Fished a group of 3 on Lake Texoma today. Caught them good all morning and the size of the fish is improving, caught a limit and a few over 20 inch fish. Should be great fishing from now till the end of the year.

Fishing on the lake has been fast action but the fish are small for the most part, also some good size cats to be caught in the lake, might be a good time for a combo striper catfish trip.

Back home at Texoma ready for some striper and catfish. The last 3 weeks in POC was about the best red fish bite I have ever seen. Next year should be great fishing again and I hope to see more of my freshwater customers come down and catch some big hard fighting saltwater fish.

I have been fishing almost every day and the redfish bite has been great, The last two days we have caught about 50 red fish each day with about half bulls and half slots. The action has been so fast I have not had time for pics but here are a couple. I have Friday and Saturday open this week and I am headed back to Texoma on the 12th. Still catching a few tarpon.

Fished a half day morning at the jetties. Wind was blowing and waves were to big to fish the end of the jetties so we had to find fish inside the jetties. The tide was slack till about 9 then it started going out so we anchored up and fished a long time before we caught anything, first fish was a big jack and after 6 or 8 jacks it looked like that was all we were going to catch but then we started catching a few bull reds. The bite was getting better but we had to be in by noon, ended up catching a bout 12 jacks and 6 bull reds up to 47 inches.

Fished offshore today. Customers wanted amberjack so we did not mess with shrimp boats and headed out to our first spot 48 miles offshore. The bite was slow but we caught a few amberjack and snapper, only 2 keeper amberjack, next stop produced snapper and one keeper amberjack. We needed one more big amberjack and we finally got it before we headed in.

Fished offshore today. Started off on shrimp boats and caught all the sharks they wanted to reel in then we went in search of amberjack. We caught 3 amberjack 2 keepers and one undersize but the snapper were so thick it was hard to catch anything but red snapper. We finally left there and moved to another spot but all we caught was a barracuda so we moved on, all we could find was red snapper as fast as you want to catch them. We headed in and fished inshore for a few minutes catching two bull reds and a tarpon.

Started out fishing shrimp boats for sharks. The bite was slow early and we only hooked about 3 sharks and one ling all morning. The bite turned on about noon and we caught a few sharks then headed to the jetties to see what we could catch. The fishing at the jetties was a little slow till we found some fish, we caught one bull red and 2 tarpon before we called it a day.

I have been guiding for 18 years and have never seen business as bad as it is this summer, the fishing is good you just can not get anyone booked, somebody call just to see if my phone works. I am headed back to P.O.C. on Wednesday, I actually have a few trips later this month and early October. Here are the days I have open for my final run in P.O.C. Sept. 17,18,19,20,21,23,25,26,27,28,29,30. October 4,7,8,9,12,13.   I will be fishing this fall on Texoma.

The wind and seas have been bad so we have not been out. Should calm down by the end of the week but I don't have any trips booked till the 16th. I sure hope business picks up again someday.

Ran back out to the shrimp boats today and caught all the sharks we wanted. Ran back to the beach and jumped 3 tarpon and landed 2, also caught a jack and 3 bull reds. The beach front fishing is really getting good. We saw lots of tarpon caught today, September is going to be great fishing on the beach front.

Fished a 10 hour offshore trip today. We stopped on a shrimp boat about 20 miles out and the shark action was unbelievable. Here is a pic of hundreds of 4-7 foot black tip sharks feeding on by catch, the pic does not really show how many sharks were under the surface. There were some kings in with the sharks but they were hard to catch with all the sharks. After a while everyone had enough nonstop action on sharks so we headed out looking for amberjack. We tried 3 spots before we got a amberjack bite, most were to small or to big (you can not win them all with big amberjack) we ended up with two keepers. Also caught and released many big snapper.

Fished a half day near shore today and the tarpon fishing was great. We chased hundreds of fish, jumped 5 and caught 2. Tarpon is one of the coolest fish you will ever catch period.

Offshore again today. Fishing was about the same but we had more trouble catching our keeper size amberjack, they have to be at least 34 inches, but we finally caught them. Also caught a king, ling, and tons of snapper.

Fished offshore today and the fishing was pretty good with lots of amberjack , snapper ,one dolphin fish, and a ling.

Shark and Tarpon fishing today. Had to go out 20 miles to find shrimp boats that were loaded up with bonita. We could only catch bonita on the bait we had so we cut some big chunks of bonita and caught two big black tip sharks and broke off 3 more then that bite just died so we went to the beach to look for tarpon. We found a bunch of tarpon but could not get them to bite.

Great day offshore today. We caught a limit of amberjack up to 60 LBS, 58 LB grouper ,way to many big snapper, one ling , and one king. Also found this group of about 20 atlantic spotted dolphin, they were a playful bunch swimming right under the bow so close that when they surfaced you could touch them on the back.

Offshore today with a group of five. Made our first stop on a shrimp boat at 25 miles. Hooked a shark on a 30 LB rig so it took a while to land, by the time we landed the shark one person was sea sick. The group decided to take him back to the dock so that killed our day. We fished at the jetties and caught a few small sharks. Going offshore Thursday with a group that will not get sick so I will get some pics. Here is a pic of a water spout we passed on the way in.

The wind has let up and the forecast is calling for the best conditions we have seen this year. Somebody needs to call and book a trip. I don't have a trip booked till next Friday and we don't get weather this good very often.

The wind kicked up the seas this week so I had to cancel a few days. I came back home for a few days. Looks like it will be good by Sunday. I don't have a trip booked for Sunday so call me if you want to fish that day.

Shark fishing today. We started of catching sharks as fast as we could reel them in for about the first hour and a half then it just died. We only hooked one more before we quit at about 11:00

Fished a group of 6 offshore today. We went deep for amberjack but started of slow with only a few big amberjack broke off and some decent scamp grouper. We finally landed a big amberjack but then the bite died so we moved to another spot. 3 big amberjack on the first drop. Ended up with a good limit of amberjack and released some under size ones.

The wind picked up a little last night so it was a little bumpy this morning. We shark fished today and it was a good as it gets. We caught sharks till nobody wanted to catch another one. Nothing huge today but lots of 5 foot spinners and blacktips. I got some good video today and will post some of it as soon as I can get it edited.

Fished a 10 hour offshore trip today. Started on a shrimp boat about 20 miles out. First fish was a nice king till the sharks ate it, all we got was the head. We caught a shark and a few kings then left to look for something else. Next stop was about 25 miles out , caught a few snapper and kings then decided to make a run out to about 50 miles for some amberjack, made one stop on the way and picked up a nice ling. We caught lots of amberjack , most were just a little under legal size but we ended up catching a limit of good ones. We dropped some big grouper baits but got broke off on every drop. On the way in we stopped and caught more snapper and another nice ling. Seas were calm so it was a nice day to be out there.

I did a little scouting here in POC today. Caught one tarpon that really put on a good show jumping 5 or 6 times. Found a shrimp boat that was loaded up with hots , that's slang for sharks. I needed some muscle in the boat for them sharks, they just pull way to hard. Tropical storm Dan is bearing down on me and I might have to make a run for it tomorrow. Forecast looks good for next week and I have some trips booked so look for more reports next week.

Striper fishing is hot and cold. I only have a couple more striper trips then I am headed to Port O'Connor , probably about the 27th of this month. I have been gathering up all my stuff for saltwater fishing. Check out the bean bag, I have 3 of them and they should make the ride out to deep water more comfortable. I also built some custom rod holders for tarpon fishing. I am ready to get down there and catch some big mean saltwater fish.

Sorry for the lack of reports this week but I just have not had any customers this week. I will be fishing tomorrow but I would really like to beat the weekend traffic on the lake. From what I hear the fishing is good but time is running out, I will be headed to Port O'Connor on the 27th.

Striper fishing is better then it has been all year and nobody wants to go. We need to be fishing right now while it is good.

Fishing was about as good as it gets this morning. We limited out on box and over 20" fish. We even had to release a few over 20" fish. I am open tomorrow and monday if anyone wants to striper fish on Texoma.
