Here are a few more pics of the big bull shark. The current state record is 9 foot long and 515 LBS, this shark was 9 foot long and could have possibly been a new state record. If it was a edible fish we probably would have killed it and took a shot at the record. I would hate to kill such a awesome fish just for a record that really would not mean much.

Shark fishing again today and again it was all you wanted to catch on 4-6 foot spinners and black tips till this big bull shark showed up gave us a real fight for one and a half hours, after that they decided they had had enough and we called it a day. The big bull was 9 foot long and probably weighed over 400 lbs. Here are a few pics and I should have some better ones to post from another camera.

Shark fishing today in less then ideal conditions,5 foot seas. We found a good shrimp boat by catch dump and it was all the sharks you wanted up to 7 foot. All sharks were black tips.

Made it out 30 miles today, caught tons of 5-8 lb snapper and got in on a good king and shark bite on a anchored shrimp boat.

Back to 3 foot seas today so we only made it out about 25 miles, caught some nice red snapper up to 17 LBS, one king, and a few nice mangrove snapper.

Headed out early with perfect conditions, light wind and small seas. First stop was about 30 miles out on a big weed patch, we were hoping to get a dolphin but all we caught was about a 4 foot barracuda ,at least it was a good fight with 3 good jumps.  Next stop was all the snapper we wanted so we caught a quick limit and moved on to the next spot where we were looking for amberjack but only caught more snapper, one of my guys was reeling in about a 6 lb snapper when all the sudden the pull got a lot harder, my guess was a shark bit our snapper and I was right. Ended up catching 3 big bull sharks, caught one in the tail and that makes it tough to get them to the boat. Last spot of the day was at a oil rig and there was a commercial boat catching snapper 10 at a time ,I think we caught one undersize amberjack, 3 nice ling,3 kings ,and a rainbow runner. I was going to get some pics back at the marina but with the big Poco Bueno tournament going on it was all we could do just to get the boat loaded, fish cleaned, and get out of there.

No tarpon but things are looking up. Water is clearing up from the storms and the bait is really thick on the beach so the tarpon will show up soon. Caught a few sharks up to 6 foot. Going offshore tomorrow with a group of 4 , should have perfect conditions tomorrow so look for the report here.

The wind has been to bad to fish offshore most days and I can not seem to book the good days so I have not fished since the 7th. From what I here the snapper fishing is great and also lots of weed lines this year holding lots of good dorado .I have a few trips booked next week but it looks like a bust for me this summer. The weather is finally getting right so I am going looking for tarpon tomorrow.

Fished a group of 6 offshore today. Some in the group  were new to fishing offshore so they wanted to do a half day, that was good because the weather was great early then it started to blow out of the north east so we headed in with a limit of 5-10 LB red snapper. The weather is looking good for the upcoming weekend, July 10 and 11, and I have those days open if anyone want to come down to Port O'Connor and fish.

Last striper trip was good with a limit of box and over 20"fish,we also released a few over 20" fish up to this 14 LB fish in the pic. I can get you booked with another guide on Lake Texoma if you need a trip in July or August.

Caught a 40 fish limit of striper today and my last striper trip is tomorrow. No more striper fishing for me till the fall. I took my trailer and all my heavy gear to Port O'Connor a couple of weeks ago and I will be headed down there to fish next week. I need some groups to come down and fish. I will be there in Port O'Connor July- Sept. , if you want snapper you have to come before the season shuts down the 23rd of July. Check out the electric reel I have for deep drops to catch Grouper, the line is 150 LB test power pro.

Still getting limits of fish but it has been really tough, lots of good guides returning to the docks with very few fish the last two days, that scares me and my day is probably coming but if I can get two more striper trips done this next week I will not be worried about striper fishing till the fall.

Striper fishing this morning and the action was fast, 60 fish in the box by 7:00 AM.

We have been catching limits of striper the last few days but most of the fish are pretty small. I have a few spots left open from now till the 2nd of July. I plan on not fishing the 4th weekend then heading to the coast on the 6th of July.

The fishing was good and the key word there is was. We have been catching limits every trip but the last few days the bite has slowed down, it might be temporary but with the hot weather we have had this could be the end of the prime time fishing. Not a problem for me since I will start my offshore fishing about July 6th.

Big fish have showed up the last few days so now we are getting limits of fish with a good chance of catching a big fish. I have plenty of weekdays open and a few weekend spots and like I said before the time is now. I can not say for sure what the striper fishing will do this year but it died the last week of June last year.

Fishing is probably as good as it gets right now. We have open day so if you plan on striper fishing you need to get it done before the end of June.

Fishing is great with limits on all morning and afternoon trips. May and June are the best months for live bait fishing and that makes it easy for everyone to catch fish.

Fished the lake this morning and the action was fast. Kept a limit of box fish and released about as many. Bigger fish should show up in about a week. It is going to be good this spring.

Fished the river again today and it was slow. We caught a limit of striper but I am headed to the lake on my next trip.

Fished the river today. We were looking to catch big striper. First big fish was lost after the first run but we got another big bite and landed this 25 LB fish. Fishing was slow but we caught a limit and released one trophy size fish.

Back up the river again today in the airboat with another good box of fish and a big 40 lb blue cat that was released. I have some days open next week if you are interested in this trip. Striper should start to move back out of the river into the lake soon.

Fished a group of 3 on the river today and caught about 30 striper and 20 catfish. This pattern will be good for about 2 weeks so call now for a trip like this.

We fished morning and afternoon trips on the lake with limits on Thursday and ok fishing but not limits on Friday.

Fished the river for striper the last two days with the same results both days. Caught a little over limits of fish from 18-25 inches long. Spread out the fish today for a pic and got half way thru cleaning them before I realized I did not take a pic.  I will be fishing the lake Thursday and Friday so maybe I will get some pics to post.
